With their varied musical backgrounds, varnish disregard genre and simply make the music that feels right. They tend to resist being put into a specific genre, preferring just to call themselves a rock band. However, a keen ear might pick up some British rock, some old punk, a touch glam, or a little 80s college radio influence here and there.

Drummer update: Unfortunately, it looks like his academic pursuits will force Ben to move house this summer. varnish are in the process of squeezing the last bit of goodness out of Ben whilst also looking for another drummer. Seattle drummers who think they might be a good fit can feel free to send varnish a link to samples of their work online.
